There was drought upon the land and clouds that carried rain sailed far and high above. The villagers seemed to be unaware of the dire straits that the Horowa had fallen under. Majola mysteriously falls in love with the rain maiker Nomapondo (The One with horns). Her eyes were dark and clouded with mysticism. Somewhere, behind the concord of gemsboks body and the woman’s mind, he caught the sweet smell of rain – and Majola knew hope for rain was on the horizon.
