The owners of Mein Heim Estate, Hennie and Christine Spangenberg purchased the farm at the end of 2012, fulfilling a dream of owning a small part of the Northern Cape. The farm is situated only 15km from the edge of Kimberley. It is near enough to pop into the city for a meal, but far enough to get away from the noise and bustle of city life.
We are truly blessed to be able to offer our guests a tranquil setting. We have 4 self catering units on the premises. Our rooms are all air-conditioned and we aim to provide our guests with affordable and comfortable accommodation.
The farm was previously a warmblood stud farm, and it was easy to transform into a stable yard and equestrian centre to house our own horses, as well as providing top class livery to others. Our riders are happy here, and have enough space to go on outrides in the veld and work their horses in well maintained arenas.
We have also started a breeding programme for copper springbok on the farm. At present our herds of springbok, gemsbok and blesbok are growing at a phenomenal rate. We are super proud of each and every little new buck born on Mein Heim.
EQUESTRIAN CENTRE
At Mein Heim Estate we run a stable yard close to Kimberley, and whether you need accommodation for you and your horse on a trip crossing the country, or are looking for a great stable yard, this is where you are welcome to stop!
Our livery yard has around 20 horses that are boarding here. We have a great compliment of trained and dedicated staff to care for them. Our facilities cater for horses that live out as well as in stables. We have 2 dressage arenas, two lunge rings and a training arena for show jumping, with necessary jumping equipment. Our main grass arena, which is under floodlights, is used mainly for showing and show jumping.
Our stables and riding school are run by Cara-Lee Greyling. She can be contacted on the following number should you need to speak to her: 071 868 4051Shortlink for this post: https://www.kimberley.co.za/?p=586
